The Route 9 Herd

Route 9 Red’s emphasis stems from the strengths of the Red Angus Breed: calving ease, carcass quality, fertility, milking ability, and ease of handling.  Since 2010, Route 9 Red Angus LLC has been using A.I. and embryo transfer to make significant genetic progress.  We maintain a herd of approximately 65 registered females and manage as a commercial operation.

Our bulls and females will be available via private treaty as well as from the sales in which we generally participate.  We have consignments at the Mulberry Mayhem/Under the Influence sale as well as Illinois’ Power of the Reds and Harvest of the Reds sales.  Previous consignments were made to the Iowa Beef Expo and will be in the future.

The base of the Route 9 herd has come from across North America.  Our herd features animal prefixes from some of the finest Red Angus programs in the United States and Canada.  We are proud of Route 9 genetics and invite you to contact us for your seedstock needs.  Commercial cattlemen always welcome!

Congratulations to Megan Fitzgerald on her Route 9 bred red angus steer.  AOB champion at the Mclean county fair!
